Mountain Dwarves
"I once asked a mountain dwarf to use his head to try to open the door... He just headbunted it" - Redd Flintwood
Kings Under the Mountain
Named after the first dwarven king, Morden Mountainhide, Mordenheim is the ancestral home of all dwarves, chief among them being the Mountainhide Clan. While many clans now live within the subterranean mountain city, the Mountainhides are the ones who built it, and the ones who gathered the dwarven clans together to fight against the orcish hordes in ancient times. Mountain dwarves are renown as possibly the best blacksmiths in all of Amora, their weapons and armor are of legendary craft. Their secret lies within their home itself, deep within the bowels of Mount Morden, the dwarves endlessly mine deeper and deeper into the earth, reaping unknown amounts of ores and jewels. While the mountain city is their main hub, mountain dwarves have spread their influence over much of the western half of Naz'gora, often reaching conflicts with orcs and other pesky creatures.
Stoic and Brash
Mountain dwarves as tough as their stony skin. Their resilience towards physical threats often reflect in their social behaviors too. Mountain dwarves tend to have the philosophy of "complaining only adds another thing to worry about" and it's considered taboo to complain too much to others or overburden others with their hardships. Many mountain dwarves have a good sense of justice too, and will often seek out retribution for misdeeds against them or their clan, although how they go about that justice is often unorthodox. Mountain dwarves often have a rather informal demeanor. They have no problem butting into others' conversations, or laughing just a little too loudly at a joke they overheard. While it may seem rude to some, but their "rudeness" is often just their way of becoming friendly with someone. Mountain dwarves are loyal to a fold and will be more than happy to break a mug over an orc's skull for you.
