Tenets of the Holy Light
These are the Tenets of the Holy Light, what guides the actions of the faithful and protects the innocent from the despaired.
- The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing.
- Strength on behalf of someone else surpasses individual strength.
- Your word is your bond, let it be pure and trustworthy.
- You must be willing to do what needs to be done for the sake of order, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
- The fate of many outweighs the fate of the few or one.
- To take a life is of the last resort, but if the act is just and true, then let it be carried it out without malice or hesitation.
- Be a glorious beacon for those who live in despair, let the light of your joy and courage shine fourth in all your deeds
- Delight in song and laughter, in beauty and art.
- If you allow the Light in your heart to die, you cannot preserve it in the world.

Dawn of the Lightsmen
Lightsmen originally descend from the northern reaches of Krios, a continent - for the most part - largely unexplored. For generations, the primitive Lightsmen developed pagan rituals of worshiping the Sun as their deity: to them the Sun brought forth life and all its gifts for the Lightsmen to cherish. Their belief in the Sun was altered when the arrival of the Angeris from the Heavenly Realms appeared close to their clans in Krios. Seeing these elven beings appear in rapture from the sky looked like a gift from the Sun itself; the primitive Lightsmen worshiped the Angeris as messengers from their deity. As time would progress, the Angeris would uplift the clans of Lightsmen into a more civilized empire: one wheres its pagan roots would change (but would still remain in the form of images and symbols) into a religion more bound to a faith of the Holy light, which against the Angeris's wishes would prove to be ironic and the reason they left the Heavenly Realms it begin with, but regardless of religion or not, the two empires grew into allies, openly trading with each other and building cities close by.
But peaceful times are always short, soon an old enemy of the High elves would return to be a thorn in their side, even if they wished to fight no more. The armies of Hell would soon march onto Krios, ravaging both the Angeris empire and the fledgling empire of the Lightsmen. The armies of hell proved to be too strong
- had pagan reverence of the Sun
- had some sort of basic skill in light magic (like curing minor or making their hands glow)
